This project stands out because it was the first mixed open market/affordable homes development on an exceptions site in Waveney under the new National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF).
Having identified the site, on the edge of the village of Holton near Halesworth in Suffolk, Wellington brought forward a plan for eleven homes: four for affordable rent, four for shared ownership and three open market homes.
Working alongside Cambridge & County Developments and Orwell Housing, Wellington took the project through from start to finish, securing the land, taking the project through planning, and delivering the build.
